Burt’s Bees and The Greater Good?

It may seem like a lofty goal but to us, it’s at our core. For us, a dialogue and platform for sharing knowledge and exploring ideas is inherently a part of ensuring The Greater Good. The Greater Good isn’t words on a page or a catchy but meaningless corporate tagline. It means that as a company, we’re committed to creating a world where people have the information and tools needed to make the highest ethical choices and to do the best for themselves, their family and the environment.

Within our walls, we say it simply by our culture statement – “We Care.” Burt’s Bees is a place where it’s not just about the product that we make. Yes, we take pride and put a lot of care and effort into our products, as we should, but it would leave many of us feeling empty if that’s all we focused on. As Burt’s Bees continues to grow and change and explore, we, as employees, desire to feel a part of something bigger than ourselves.

We now live and breathe our model of The Greater Good. We take it seriously, looking at how as a company and individually, we can improve the world around us to achieve well-being, social responsibility and sustainability. We have only just begun our journey, but we’re committed to walking the talk. And we’ll keep you posted on where we are as we learn and grow together …
